As a professional creative retoucher, I utilize Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, and Capture 1 to enhance and edit digital images. My objective is to elevate image quality, composition, and visual appeal for commercial projects.
Technical Edits:
Encompass essential image adjustments. These can include removing dust and scratches, creating clipping paths, resizing images, and reducing noise. Other common edits are correcting lens distortion and sharpening visuals for both print and web use.
Image manipulation and compositing
Involves blending multiple images, adding or removing elements, and transforming scenes to realize a creative vision. The goal is to seamlessly integrate components from various sources into a single, cohesive, and realistic final image.
Color grading and correction
Refines an image’s colors and tones for accuracy and visual appeal. Correction focuses on technical adjustments—like white balance, exposure, contrast, and consistency—to create a natural look. Grading adds a creative dimension, applying moods or styles that express a brand’s unique identity.
Artistic Manipulation
Moves beyond simple editing to transform images into creative, surreal, or highly polished works of art. This process uses techniques like manipulation, compositing, and color adjustment to achieve a distinctive, often fantastical or dramatic, and emotionally impactful artistic vision.
Portrait and beauty retouching
Involves enhancing images to achieve a polished look. Techniques include skin smoothing, blemish removal, dodging and burning, and whitening of eyes and teeth. Additional refinements may include hair enhancement and subtle body shaping.
File Preparation for Print & Web
Ensuring color profiles and formats meet production standards involves verifying that every visual asset follows the correct technical specifications for its final use. This includes confirming that the artwork uses the appropriate color space and formats required by the vendor.
